Meet Anthea Callen and see the Paris show!

We have booked for group visits to the Musee D’Orsay  during the first 3 weeks of term. Group visits are free but are limited to 9-10am each morning. We would like to kick these off by inviting all Post grads, Honours and Teaching Assistants to view the show with Anthea Callen on Wednesday 24th feb at 9am. Please meet in the foyer and enter as a group (we have booked for approx 20 students plus 2 staff).

Following this there will then be a Painting Workshop General Meeting at 11am in the Drawing Room

Anthea Callen will deliver her first lecture on Friday 26th Feb at 11am in the School of Art lecture Theatre. All welcome!

The Symposium (March 10, 11,12) details will follow soon. !!Would those of you presenting please let me know any key pictures you will be discussing, so students will know to have a good look at them in the weeks before the symposium. !! (I know Jude is talking about the small Seurats, Liz about the Cezanne rock-scape, and Peter Adsett  Cezanne Still life. A very brief (2 sentences max!) abstract from each presenter would be good.)

Jude has got hold of a good quality powerpoint of the show, so if you need high res images, I will post up the link later today. I will also post a recommended booklist Anthea has sent- we will put some key texts on closed reserve for the six week block.

see you all soon, R
